Sometimes it amazes me how many different products our friendly money-making, or shall we say scam-making, “Gurus” will continue to come up with. What's even funnier is they all do the exact same thing: take your money while promising you riches for life!
To be honest, CB Passive Income License Program by Patric Chan (CBPI from now on), isn’t technically a scam. It does provide you with an outline of a legitimate technique to make money online; however, the way it is framed and taught makes Mr. Chan money more than it makes you money.
You see, CBPI gives you a free, pre-made website, which is actually a squeeze page designed to sell CB Passive Income to your list…this sounds great right? But where is your list?
CBPI claims that it is for beginner internet marketers, but an email list is one of the most difficult, time-consuming aspects of internet marketing. This is where CBPI begins to fall apart…oh, and the fact it is designed to make Patric Chan money from your hard work…oops, I mean “passive” work…doesn’t help its case either!
In case you are still considering this product (if you are, you seriously need to revisit your expectations of making money online), I will go into a more in-depth look of CBPI now.

Now we'll get into the in-depth part of this review. I'll talk about some of the things I don't like about htis product as well as a couple of the things that…aren't so bad. After that, I'll spend some time discussing what you would actually get if you were to purchase this product, how much it costs, and some other relevant information. I'll finish with my concluding thoughts and some alternative resources you may want to consider if you're trying to figure out how to build a sustainable online business.
What I Do Like About CB Passive Income
Ok, even though it pains me to say, in theory, the strategy behind CBPI, building a list to promote products, could work to make money online. In fact, one of the core tenets of good, honest internet marketing is to build a list of followers. These followers could be in the form of an email list, Facebook followers, YouTube subscribers, etc.
However, if you have this list and continually promote products such as CBPI, which is the whole premise of CBPI, you will quickly lose any credibility you had with your list of followers.
What I Don’t Like
There are too many “don’t like” topics to talk about them all, so I will keep it brief. Here are my top 3 dislikes about CB Passive Income:
1. The Hype
As with most “awesomely easy way to make a ton of money online” products, the hype is incredible. If the sales pages were actually true, you would be sipping margaritas from some tropical island, without a care in the world, as quickly as tomorrow, and you wouldn’t even have to lift a finger. I don’t know how this works…maybe you just teleport or something magical like that!
Throughout the sales page, you will notice a common thread: Patric Chan does all of the work for you. Although this is technically true in terms of what he is selling you, a free “secret web page”, it couldn’t be further from the truth in terms of actually making money from it.
The reality is that, in order to promote CBPI, you will need to spend time and energy building a list of subscribers. This is ALL YOU and Mr. Chan won’t be doing any of this on your behalf.
Also, Mr. Chan claims that after the one-time payment of $47 you will not need to spend another dime. Again, this is technically true, but without spending further money it will be nearly impossible to actually build a list and promote your “secret web page” and affiliate links.
Plus, if you’re going to spend this much time and effort building a list, you might-as-well actually promote a legitimate product, not some sketchy, half-truth filled product such as CBPI.
3. No Value In Product
Let’s be real, if you’re going to pay for a product, you should expect to get your money’s worth. You should be getting unique, high-quality content and resources that you can’t find anywhere else.
With CBPI you are given access to a “members area” that includes some training videos that are mediocre quality and cover basic internet marketing concepts that can be found anywhere else for free.
Oh wait…didn't Mr. Chan say he was doing all of the work for us? If this is indeed true, why are they pushing us to buy training videos that we NEED to make money? Hmm…something seems a little fishy…
Normally, in my product reviews I give a detailed description of what you actually get when you purchase the product. However, you don’t get much with CBPI.
You get a free squeeze page, an affiliate link, a few training videos (if you pay for them), and not much else.
Who Should Buy CB Passive Income?
Well, in my opinion, no one should buy this product if you’re actually trying to make a legitimate income online. On the other hand, if you are good at internet marketing, want to make money from ripping people off, then you might give it a thought.
If you decide to succumb to the upsells and purchase the subscription to CBPI’s training modules, you will be given access to a series of mediocre training videos. These videos cover some of the basic techniques of internet marketing.
To be honest, there are much better, higher quality sources of this information for free.
No, if you are looking for customer support you will not find it.
You do have a 60 Day Money Back Guarantee, but this is through Clickbank and not the CBPI itself. Trust me, if you buy this product, you will probably be quite interested in getting your money back.
The price for the “regular” CB Passive Income License Program is a one-time payment of $47 which can be down-sold to a $1 two-week trial. After the trial, you would need to pay the original $47.
Once you have the “regular” version you will encounter an upsell to the “Pro Version” for $97. This basically gives you access to the members' area and the aforementioned training videos.
Once you have the pro version, Mr. Chan will try to convince you to subscribe to “The Fast Cash Series Membership” for $47/month or $197/year. Again, you can try this out for two weeks for $1, but the normal price will kick in after that.
So…all in all, assuming you buy everything, the initial investment will be $144 with a monthly payment of $47 or a yearly payment of $197.
Final Opinion + Better Suggestions
If you really need me to say it again, I would not recommend this product to anyone; whether they are a complete newbie or an experienced internet marketer. CB Passive Income is purely a self-promotional product that is not likely to give anyone the long-term income or stability they are looking for.
If you are actually looking for a legitimate way to earn income online, then there are other places you should look. I would suggest you have a look at my top product recommendations as well as check out my Wealthy Affiliate University review.
Wealthy Affiliate University is where I learned everything I know. They will not promise any sort of income. All they do is provide you with the tools, training, and community needed to prepare yourself to be successful. What you have to do is take it in and apply it. It will take a long time, sometimes many months, to see any success.
