Overall, Flexible Images and it's upgrade, the Flexible Images Super Ultimate Upgrade, are exactly what they're advertised to be: thousands of images ready to put on top of any other images. The product is actually quite simple. It's just a website you log into with galleries of images in the .png format you can download to use for whatever you need them for.
Where the real benefit of Flexible Images comes in is how much time it could potentially save you. If you've every used Photoshop to cut out backgrounds, you know how long and tedious of a process it is!
In-Depth Review of Flexible Images
Now, I'll take an in-depth look at what Flexible Images and Flexible Images Super Ultimate Upgrade are. I'll first talk about what I like. Then I'll talk about what I don't like. After that I'll discuss who I think should but these products and who I think shouldn't.
I'll finish up the initial review with the cost of the product and give you my final recommendation regarding Flexible Images. After this I'll point you to some other resources you may find helpful and end with an in-depth product review where I'll show the categories and number of images you'll get buy purchasing this product.
What I Like About Flexible Images
I'll start off by talking about all of the things I like about Flexible Images and Flexible Images Ultimate Super Upgrade.
Functions as Advertised
The thing I like most about Flexible Images and it's upgrade is that it is exactly what they advertise it to be. So many products like this do a bait and switch on you that it's basically what you come to expect. However, this is not the case with Flexible Images.
Flexible Images claims to offer 10,000 “flexible images” and Flexible Images Ultimate Super Upgrade claims to offer 20,000 “flexible images” and they both offer exactly this! By the way, “flexible images” are images that don't have a background. This makes them easy to insert into other photographs without doing any work.
There are no bells and whistles with Flexible Images, just thousands of images ready to be downloaded.
High Quality Images
All of the images available in Flexible Images and the corresponding upgrade are high-definition, high-quality images. They are large sizes which means they should be able to work in just about any situation without getting blurry, distorted, or anything like that.
The images look great as large formats or small formats. You can zoom in on them quite far without losing any quality.
Well Cropped Out
If you've ever used Photoshop to try to take the background out of an image you know how hard it can be to create a clean line at the edges of the object. No matter the tool you're using, it takes time and effort to make a nicely cropped out image that will have clean edges.
Each image in Flexible Images and Flexible Images Ultimate Super Upgrade have perfect edges.
Well Categorized & Easy to Sort
Even though purchasing Flexible Images comes with about 10,000 images and the Ultimate Super Upgrade comes with over 20,000, it's relatively easy to find what you're looking for.
The images are all categorized into relevant topics and there is a search function available to search for the tags associated with each image.
Simple & Straightforward
Just about everything with this product is simple and straightforward. Not much else needs to be said on this part.
What I Don't Like About Flexible Images
Now I'll go through a few of the things I didn't like about Flexible Images and the Flexible Images Super Ultimate Upgrade. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to diss this product but there are a few things that I didn't like or that seemed like they could be better.
The biggest thing I don't like about Flexible Images is that there is never any mention of further upgrades or add-ons before you purchase the base product. This is a technique that makes you feel invested and then makes it seem like if you don't purchase the extras you might be losing value.
I'd prefer if they just offered the different options right up front so you know what you're getting or not getting. This makes it your choice. I'm sure what they do probably works to increase sales and revenues, but it seems manipulative to me.
Counter-intuitive to Download
Instead of just simply downloading the picture you want when you click the “Download Pictures” button it opens up the image in your browser and you have to manually download it from there. To me this just seems like a silly way to do this and adds an extra step that could easily be avoided.
Images are Hit or Miss
I can't quite figure out how to put this one. Don't get me wrong, all of the images are high-quality and well executed. However, you're limited to the images they provide so if they don't have exactly what you need, you're out of luck. For example, there are almost 300 cars available with Flexible Images but that doesn't mean they'll have the one you need or, if they do, it might be at the wrong angle to fit your image.
Who Should Buy Flexible Images?
So, given all of this, who do I think should buy this product? Well, I think most people could benefit from this product in different ways. If you remember from the beginning, I would only recommend products if I would be ok recommending them to my closest friends and family.
The first person who would could benefit from Flexible Images are people who have basic photo editing skills and need to add some life to their images. Since the photos are already “cut out” it makes them easy to insert into existing photos.
The second person that could benefit from Flexible Images and the upgrade are actual graphic designers and people who are proficient in photo editing software like Photoshop or Canva. If nothing else, it will save you a ton of time if they happen to have the image you're looking for.
So, who shouldn't buy this product? Well, like I said, I think everyone could potentially benefit from Flexible Images but, if you're proficient at Photoshop or other photo-editing software and you don't mind spending a few minutes cutting the backgrounds away from objects you need, then you can pass on Flexible Images.
Flexible Images and it's Super Ultimate Upgrade are very straightforward products. It's simply a website that you log into that has different categories of images. Each image is downloadable. That's about it.
The base package has 9,707 images in 29 categories. The upgraded version has 20,057 images in 56 categories.
At the end of this review I'll give an in-depth look into exactly what categories of images and how many of each you can get with both the base Flexible Image package as well as the Super Ultimate Upgrade package.
This product has been well-executed as far as I can tell, so I haven't had a reason to contact their customer service team. So, I can't really comment on this at this point in time.
The basic package of Flexible Images has a retail price of $97.00 but is currently on sale for $39.90. (To be completely honest, I'm guessing it's always at this lower price.) This comes out to about .4 cents per picture.
The Super Ultimate Upgrade will cost you an additional $39.00. This comes out to about .2 cents per picture.
Final Verdict on Flexible Images
In conclusion, I would have no problem recommendeing Flexible Images or even the Ultimate Super Upgraded version to my closest friends and family as long as they knew what they were getting.
I think this could be a very useful tool and database of images for anyone creating online media. So, if you think this is something that would help you out, I'd definitely give it my stamp of approval.
