Step 2: See If Your Desired Name Is Available. Now you must determine if the domain name you have decided on is actually available. You can do this by entering it into the search box below. Once you have entered the domain name, wait to see if it is available. If it is, a green “Available!” will show up above the “Build It Now” button. If not, you will see a red “Taken” and you must think of another domain name.

Step 5: Review Final Settings. Now you must review some final settings before your website can be created.

What kind of website do you want to build? (D) “A Free Website” should already be selected for you and your domain name should be entered into the (E) “Choose your domain name” box. If not, please select it and re-enter your domain name now.

Name Your Website. Type in what you want your website to actually be called in the (F) “Enter a name for your website here!” box. Remember that this can always be changed at a later date…so don’t spend too much time toiling over the perfect name!

The “Name” of your website is usually your domain name, minus the “”, but with proper capitalization and punctuation. For example, this website's domain name is “” and the website name is “Kirby’s Marketing”.

Choose A Look For Your Website. This is the part where you choose your website’s theme; again, this can be changed at a later date with minimal hassle, so don’t worry too much about it now. Just simply click on one of the (G) available options that looks good for now.
