In this short tutorial I will show you how easy it is to install Google Chrome. Google Chrome is by far my preferred web browser. If you are a user of Google products, then I implore you to use Google Chrome as your default browser as it will dramatically simplify your life!
Google Chrome is an amazing browser because it streamlines your online experience by synchronizing all of your Google products, accounts, and devices together into one simple, easy to interface. Now, let me show you how to get it installed on your computer.
Step 1: Download Google Chrome File
The first step you have to do is download the Chrome installation files onto your computer. To do this you must first go to Chrome’s download page on Google’s website. You get get there by clicking on this link: Download Chrome Here.
Once you are on this page, click on the blue (A) “Download Chrome” button to begin the process of downloading the files onto your computer.
Now you must accept the (B) Terms of Service and choose your installation options. Since you are going to use Chrome as your default browser you will want to leave the (C) first box checked to make Chrome your default browser. Don't worry! Your internet browsing history and home page settings will be automatically transferred from your previous default browser.
The (D) second check box is up to you, it won’t really affect your experience one way or another. Finally, click on the blue (E) “Accept and Install” button.
Step 2: Install Chrome
Now it is time to actually install Chrome onto your computer. Depending on the browser you are currently using, you should be able to see the (F) file at the bottom of your browser. You can click on it to install it.
If you do not see this, you will need to locate the file you have just downloaded. Unless you have changed your computer’s download settings, it should be in your “Downloads” folder.
KM Tip: You can push “Window Key + E” to open up your File Explorer to find the folder.
Anyways, when you locate the file, click on it to begin the installation. You may need to click “Yes” or “Run” if an administrator settings box pops up.
From here on the process should be completely automated. All you have to do is sit-back and wait. It should only take a few seconds.
Step 3: Use Google Chrome
Once the installation is complete, a Chrome browser should open up automatically and you are set. If you would like a guide to show you around Chrome and point out some of its key features, please consult this overview: How To Use Google Chrome – An Overview.
